A press conference was held at the South of England Show last week to announce the winner of a South of England Agricultural Society rebranding competition. The project linked the Society and the University of Brighton’s Business School and invited students to create new logos for the Society’s four shows - as well as pitching a rebrand for the website. The brief asked four groups of student ‘agencies’ to research the history and core demographic of the Society and then rejuvenate their look with a fresher, more youthful feel.
GB Theatre has announced the cast list for its 2012 Shakespeare productions at the Arundel Festival. The company is making its third appearance at the heart of the Festival where it will be staging open-air performances of The Tempest and The Taming of the Shrew.
Among star names it has lined up for the Castle is that of Jack Shepherd, TV’s Superintendent Wycliffe, who will direct The Tempest. Jack is most widely known for his role in the police series Wycliffe, which is currently running on ITV3.
