With this gorgeous summer sun and heat-wave weather, most of you have been rushing outside to catch some vitamin D.
Having ditched the winter warmers and put aside even the lightest of jackets it is now bare legs, cotton clothing and sunglasses that are reigning over Sussex and the rest of the UK.
However, not all of us are lucky enough to be able to switch up our closet with such ease. In fact, some of us are struggling in this heat more so than others.
No, I’m not talking about managing director Susan Fleet, or our intern Maayan Cohen. But me, Chloe … the office cat.
You might have spotted me lying in the shade under the tree in the garden; splayed across the kitchen floor trying to cool off on the refreshing tiles; or hidden under a desk directly next to the air conditioning unit. And let me tell you, I am hot.
But one good thing has come of this summer heat: as long as I am playing up the act and exaggerating the drama the others will spoil me.
All I have to do is waltz into the office, begin my meowing while spread-eagled in a cool spot, and heavenly tuna Dreamies snacks comes dangling under my nose.
Now that the rain has come and the air has cooled down my colleagues have started to clock onto my tricks. Here’s hoping the sun comes out again soon so I can fill my tummy once again!
