Dervla hails from Derry in Northern Ireland and Elliot from Hawick in The Scottish Borders. Both Dervla and Elliot have had very similar careers starting at an early age by entering competitions and taking part in their own local Operatic Society’s where they performed roles from shows including The Sound of Music, The Student Prince, West Side Story and The Wizard of Oz.
They both subsequently went on to study at The Guildhall School of Music in London. While there Dervla won The Ulster Bank Foundation Award for Irish Young Musicians on the hugely popular Late Late Show with Gay Byrne and Elliot was the winner of the inaugural Kathleen Ferrier Bursary Award.
Although they travelled a very similar path to one another they didn’t actually meet until they both joined the chorus of The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. Dervla is still currently a member of the ROH chorus and has sung many roles for the company. Elliot was a member for 15 years and has since left to pursue a very successful freelance career.
Along with Opera Dervla and Elliot love to perform many different styles of music from Musical Theatre and Jazz through to Popular and Scottish and Irish traditional music. They enjoy performing throughout the country at various corporate events and functions.
