Lewes student strikes gold

Lewes Old Grammar School (LOGS) student Daniel Bradford finished in first place at the British Schools Gymnastics Association’s (BSGA) Trampoline Regional on Sunday.

Daniel has enjoyed an unprecedented streak of sporting success over the past few months, after also winning four medals at the 2017 Trampoline Tumbling & DMT English Championships in November.

The budding trampolinist’s latest victory means that he qualifies for the Southern Zonal Round on 28th January 2018, which will be held again at the Rebound Centre Gillingham.

Daniel said: “I was so excited to win this medal, as it means I can progress to the next round of competitions early next year. I’m really grateful to my coach, the school, and my family for cheering me on to get this far. I can’t wait to hopefully win more gold medals soon.”

Murray Heyward, Head of PE and Games at LOGS, added: “It’s clear to us that Daniel is a very talented young athlete. People often make the mistake of thinking that talent comes easy, but we know that Daniel’s successes are the pay-off of intense training and hard work. We’re really proud and wish him the best as he prepares to compete again in January.”
