New face of the future at Bennett Christmas

From brokers to bake-off: Bennett Christmas stirs things up!
Bennett Christmas is living up to its name this month, by hosting a Festive Bake Off in order to raise money for a local good cause.
Throughout December, 18 members of staff from the Burgess Hill-based insurance group hope to make mincemeat of the competition as they battle it out to be named best baker in the business. The golden spoon winner will take home a £50 voucher for a shop of their choice.
Judged on taste, presentation and festiveness, contestants will bake a dessert and a savoury dish for judges David Christmas, Managing Director of Bennett Christmas Insurance Brokers, and Chris Trillwood, the Office Manager of BC Underwriting, before they can qualify for the grand finale.
Finalists will then be required to present their signature dish to guest judge and Sussex chef Mia Taggart, whose growing business The Little Cake Fairy recently supplied show stopping cakes for Dame Vera Lynn and Zoe Ball, presenter of Strictly: It Takes Two.
The event is the latest fundraising effort by the company on behalf of St Peter and St James Hospice. Last month, it successfully nominated the charity for the Aviva Community Fund guaranteeing a payment to the hospice of up to £25,000.
“It’s all good fun and I’m pleased to see the staff getting into the festive spirit… I’m looking forward to judging, too!” said David Christmas. “As always, we’re delighted to support the worthy cause of St Peter and St James Hospice.”
