Independent insurance broker and underwriter Bennett Christmas has appointed Helen Sundaram to the newly created post of marketing manager.
Helen, who will be based at the Bennett Christmas headquarters in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, will be responsible for coordinating all of the company’s online and offline marketing as it grows its extensive portfolio of business and personal insurance products and integrates new services, like its Risk Management and Health & Safety Consultancy, BC Risk Management.
“This is a key appointment as the company enters a period of significant expansion,” said Chief Executive Mark Bennett. “It indicates the importance the directors place on marketing the Bennett Christmas brand as we continue to build our reputation as a leading player in the independent insurance market and grow our gross written premium in line with an ambitious five-year plan.”
The company, which is part of Broker Network, recently acquired fellow member Slade Edwards Insurance Brokers, which has built a reputation for offering niche insurance products alongside a specialist risk management division.

Helen brings 25 years experience in marketing and communications to her new role. A graduate in accounting and law, she founded her own marketing agency, specialising in the promotion of SMEs in financial services and overseas property, having built a successful career as a senior marketer in hospitality and international travel.
