Susan very kindly offered me a work experience opportunity at her company when I met her at an event that I was taking photographs at. It was an unexpected but exciting offer that I was very pleased to accept.

I subsequently spent a week working at the offices of Lea Graham this summer. Susan had prepared a busy schedule of activities as she is incredibly passionate about teaching me the skills that I will need in order to become successful and thrive in ‘the real world’ once I finish college next year.

Each day I encountered new experiences such as meeting clients, attending meetings, updating client information and working on administration systems. These experiences gave me such a great and invaluable awareness I could not have possibly gained by just sitting in a classroom; I am so grateful.

I thoroughly enjoyed my week, which as well as giving me practical experience, has also given me a taste of what it’s like to work within this industry and to run a successful business.

I can’t thank Susan enough for inviting me into her company with such a warm welcome and preparing such a relevant and interesting array of activities for me to undertake, increase my learning and awareness of working in a commercial environment.
